Visit to Pitlochry H.S.

As part of their studies into mountains the children in P5 at Pitlochry H.S. were given a visit by some of the members of Tayside Mountain Rescue Team. Emma, James and Graham made the visit with a team Landrover and some medical equipment to let the children see how a rescue team operates.

Latest Training Exercise

Busy day for the Team today as we were consolidating winter skills and finished of with a scenario transporting our mock casualty on a two hour stretcher lower down to the valley floor. Great day for everyone at the Ben Lawers range.

Tayside Mountain Rescue Team AGM 2014

As part of the proceedings at last night’s AGM the new committee was voted in. Many of the previous committee members stood down after several successful years at the helm.

Latest Team News

Some of you might remember a new team member who joined about a year ago called ‘Tay’ well after a year of training with the Search And Rescue Dog Association (SARDA) Tay has just passed his 4 day assessment in Glencoe. Tayside Mountain Rescue Team are now fortunate to have 4 search dogs in our team.
